Chelsea Interested in Manchester United’s Lauren James
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Chelsea want to bring Manchester United’s Lauren James over to London. Her brother is Chelsea right-back Reece James. The English starlet is having a good season with the reds of Manchester registering 3G/A in 10 games so far for Casey Stoney’s side and while she may not be the finished article yet, her fantastic ball-carrying abilities (8.46 carries per 90) and excellent dribbling (2.68 dribbles per 90) makes her a wanted woman as French giants and seven-time Champions League-winners, Olympique Lyonnais, are also reported to be in the chase for the 19-year-old.
The talented young midfielder would be a welcome addition to an already star-studded Chelsea team and would no doubt add depth to the squad. Emma Hayes and her blue army would be focused on reaching the UEFA Champions League final for the first time in their history by beating Bayern at the Kingsmeadow after losing 1-2 in Germany. The blues are also just 3pts away from retaining their WSL title but are already looking ahead to the future and the signing of Lauren James would no doubt be a statement of intent.
