Manchester City will meet Erling Haaland’s release clause in a move that will see him earn £500k a week & become the Premier League’s highest-pai
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City has agreed to terms with Erling Haaland, and they will trigger his £63 million clause at Borussia Dortmund this summer. They also claim he will become the highest-paid player in the Premier League. He will earn £500,000 a week while playing for the citizens. The report states that the 21-year-old will sign a five-year deal after the move is executed in the next or so. Chelsea, PSG, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United all wanted the Norwegian, but he has chosen City.
A salary of £500,000-a-week would propel him beyond Kevin De Bruyne, who earns around £385,000 per week. The Leeds-born former Molde & RB Salzburg star has scored 82 goals and assisted 23 more in just 85 appearances for BVB. This season, he has scored 25 goals and assisted eight in 26 league appearances. The son of Alf-Inge Haaland also has 17 goals and two assists in 17 appearances for his country. He is probably the best U21 striker in Europe and another deadly addition to City’s attack after signing Julian Alvarez earlier this year.
