Manchester United are in advanced talks with Lens to sign defender Jonathan Clauss for €10 million

Manchester United are close to signing French international right back Jonathan Clauss according to reports from various publications. The French wing-back was of interest Marseille, Atletico Madrid, and Chelsea, but it looks like United have stolen ahead with their deal. The 29-year-old French international has been a revelation for Franck Haise’s side and will cost about 10 million Euros.

Clauss came up with the side to Ligue 1 in the 2020/21 season and has been impressive since his top-flight debut. He scored five goals and recorded 11 assists as Lens finished an impressive 7th in Ligue 1 last campaign. He will provide able competition for Aaron Wan Bissaka & Diogo Dalot on the right under Erik Ten Hag.
