Manuel Locatelli is out for three to four weeks after sustaining an injury against Inter Milan
Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli sustained a knee injury during Sunday’s derby loss to Inter Milan. He could be out for three to four weeks. The 24-year-old Italy international was forced off the pitch during yesterday’s Derby d’Italia against Inter Milan.
Max Allegri confirmed that the former Sassuolo and AC Milan man sustained a collateral knee sprain that would keep him on the sidelines for 20 days. He started in central midfield with Adrien Rabiot but was subbed off after 30 minutes due to a knee injury. He had also sustained a head injury that forced him to play with a head bandage.
Locatelli has been a bright spark in Juve’s center, especially from earlier in the season. Even though his influence has waned in recent weeks, he is still a vital cog for the Old Lady. This comes as a big double blow to Juventus who went on to lose the derby despite a good performance. They also lost controversially with Hakan Calhanoglu’s penalty the decider of the Serie A fixture.
