OFFICIAL: Diogo Jota extends his contract with Liverpool until 2027
Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has extended his contract with the club until 2027 the club has announced. The Portuguese attacker put pen to paper at the club’s AXA training center.
In his 85 appearances for the Merseyside club, Jota has scored 34 goals and assisted nine more. His goals have helped Liverpool to lift the Carabao Cup and Emirates FA Cup, as well as finish runners-up in the Premier League and Champions League.
Diogo Jota originally signed for Liverpool in 2020, having previously played for Wolverhampton Wanderers. Now, he’s been handed a big raise by the club.
The 25-year-old is currently injured and will miss the start of the Premier League season when Liverpool kick-off against Fulham this weekend. Jota will step up his return to training shortly after recovering from a hamstring injury.
