Paris Saint-Germain target Manchester United's Marcus Rashford in shock swoop
Paris Sain-Germain are now targeting a deal to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United according to L’equipe.
Rashford has been a long-term target for the Ligue 1 champions, and even though United have their attacking woes, a deal can be struck.
Rashford can play across the forward line and will be welcomed at the Parc des Princes.
The 24-year-old is also interested in joining the Parisians according to their report. Another report from RMC states that the Englishman’s rapport with Kylian Mbappe is good and that is why they will consider signing him.
PSG have spoken with Rashford’s representatives as they consider a shocking late move for the England international. It is not yet clear what United will demand for their academy product.
PSG want to add another attacker to their frontline despite having Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe. They added Hugo Ekitike this summer but are still keen on another forward.
New boss Christopher Galtier said in a press conference that the club is in the market for another striker due to the departure of Arnaut Kalimuendo and Mauro Icardi.
Rashford’s form has dipped over the past two seasons, and he has only one year left on his current deal. Man Utd could be tempted to sell their star.
Rashford has played over 300 games for United since making his debut for the club in the 2014/15 season. He has scored 93 goals and assisted 57 more in that period.
United are already targeting another forward with a similar profile to Rashford. Erik Ten Hag wants the club to sign PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo.
