Premier League Champions Manchester City have put a deal in place to sign Erling Haaland this summer - deal worth £100 million
According to an exclusive from Daily Mail Uk, Manchester City have a deal in place to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund this summer and the deal will be north of £100 million pounds despite his £63m release clause. The former RB Salzburg striker will accept the deal and reject Real Madrid‘s interest.
Haaland has scored 80 goals in 79 appearances for Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund and his overall career stat of 149 goals in 190 games makes him the top football striking talent in Europe right now. The 21-year-old broke out at Molde under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before a move to Austrian side Salzburg. He became the first teenager to score in five consecutive UEFA Champions League games. Haaland would move to Borussia Dortmund in January 2020 and he was integral as they won the DFB-Pokal.
He is the youngest player to score 50 Bundesliga goals. Haaland has suffered a string of injuries this campaign that has not let him push on but Marcos Rose confirmed that he is back this weekend. City wanted Harry Kane last summer to replace Sergio Agüero, but that deal fell through. They have now signed Julian Alvarez, a top attacking prospect and they look to have secured Haaland too.
