After UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin called his ‘extraordinary meeting’ of Executive Committee, UEFA has decided to move the UEFA Champions League final from the Gazprom Arena to Stade de France. It is the national stadium of France. The final was due to be held in Saint Petersburg but has now been moved to Paris after Russia invaded the sovereign nation of Ukraine. The last time a final was held at Stade de France was in 2006 when Barcelona won it. It also held the final of 2000 that Real Madrid won.
